The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science

Adam Mickiewicz University at AMU

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) is housed in a modern facility situated on the university’s Morasko Campus, located in the northern part of Poznań.

Connectivity

Despite its location outside the immediate city center, the campus is well-connected to downtown Poznań. Efficient transport is provided primarily by the Poznań Fast Tram (PST) system. A tram ride from the city center to the terminal station near the campus takes approximately 15–20 minutes, ensuring convenient access for participants and visitors.

Research and Heritage

The Faculty is an active center for mathematical research across several key disciplines. The primary areas of active development include algebra, graph theory, and broadly understood mathematical analysis.

In the field of analysis, the Faculty maintains a strong connection to its historical roots, upholding the academic heritage of Professor Władysław Orlicz, a renowned mathematician of the Lwów School and a key figure in functional analysis who was long associated with the university in Poznań.

Conference Facilities

The faculty building itself is designed to support both teaching and research activities. It offers comfortable conditions for hosting large academic events and conferences, providing:
